I consider this unit to be a good relative indicator of fat%. It provides consistent results (if you are consistent in how you use it i.e. same time of day, same diet as usual, same H2O intake etc). This means I can track my gains/losses in a relative sense as opposed to an absolute value. Honestly, I’m not concerned about getting a “real” number but rather a consistent value that will indicate if I’m doing the right things to improve my BMI. It does its job well, considering the price.

Packaged nicely. The device overall functions well. It had options for multiple users. I have used multiple scales and fat measuring devices and I am glad to now own this product. Very professional and easy to use. It provides consistent results for multiple users and clients. I would recommend this for anyone that is looking to get leaner and measure body composition. Although I do not believe it is 100 percent accurate, it does provide results within 2-3 % accuracy; and it creates consistent results.

This is awesome, functional, and durable. Works like a charm. As a personal trainer, I need to work quickly to get my clients to their goal, and this gadget works greatly in assisting me with numbers, goals and projections.

This a great tool to measure your diet and excercise efforts…much better system to track results vs a scale. It’s very easy to use and as a former sales director for a large gym chain I can tell you that this is the brand that personal trainers are using. Great product and very affordable.

This is a simple, easy to use fat % meter. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The gym wants to charge for a body fat reading. For less than they charge I was able to buy this. It has space for 8 different people to be programmed in. You input your sex, age, height, weight, etc. Then is less than 5 seconds, you can see your body fat % along with your BMI. bit pricey though.

I’m just not satisfied with the products accuracy.

I was needing this to really dial in my diet for my bodybuilding. After much research and experimenting, this seems to be pretty accurate readings for body fat. Just follow the directions and do it right when you wake up (go to the bathroom first) to get the best reading.

The good aspects of this product are the following:
– Easy to use. I didn’t try other options for measuring body fat, but from what I read, this seems to be agreed upon to the be the easier technique to use. This product, with its simply instructions and user interface makes it even easier to use.
– Programability: and by this I mean the memory this tool provides for you to remember profiles of users. You can save up to 9 users, their height, weight, age, gender, etc… which are all used each time you measure your fat percent. Those numbers are used to give you the BMI, (normal/not normal indicators), etc. It’s a little bit pain (and waste of time) if you are to input those numbers each time. Set them once for you and who else uses the tool, and measuring your body fat in the future becomes a click of a button.
– The price. Again, it’s cheap for what it does.
Now to what I think to be a minor issue with the device:
– While the technique is known to be less accurate compared to other techniques used for measuring body fat, I had to use it several times for one measurement to get an accurate measurement (a measurement that does not change in the next try). For one measurement, try several runs until the readings stabilize.

My husband I have both been trying to lose weight. It was very important to me to learn my body fat percentage over my bmi, although this offers both. I find that the results have been consistent when I myself am consistent. There is a sheet that comes with it letting you know the best times and position to take a measurement. I usually do it in the morning right after I weigh myself. I drink water throughout the night because I am breast feeding, so I am not dehydrated when I wake. It is very user friendly. I just leave it on guest mode because my weight goes down every week, so right after I weigh myself I punch in my new weight and it’s that simple! For someone with a consistent weight, you can make a profile and it would be the touch of a button to get a reading. It’s fun and affordable and above all else, it’s a motivating tool!

I bought this because I really had no concept of my body fat level. I sorta assumed that it wasn’t going to be dead on balls accurate, and that’s pretty much the case. I am able to have my body fat tested hydrostatically twice per year, and I thought this was going to help me to fill in the gaps between visits. Before I really started putting the miles on my bike and using my fitness center, it was telling me at one that I was much higher than I really was (22% when I was 18%). After quite a few miles and quite a few sets later, it was telling me I was much lower than I actually was (9% when I’m now about 12%).
I can’t say that I’m entirely surprised. Its use is very strict and I see lots of room for error even if you follow the instructions to the letter. I assumed it was going to be a little off, but it seems quite random. It’s close enough that if things get away from me I’m going to know, but I just wish it was a liiiiitle more accurate than it is. I basically can only tell within a few percent, but I never really know if the reading is high or low or right on the money.

It feels a bit light, I don’t now why I was expecting it to feel more solid, but it gives me a reading that agrees withing a few % points to other sources, like my Tanita scale, and calipers so I am not really sure how accurate it is, but then again, I figure that if I just take the average of these, that might be good enough. Although as others have already mentioned, just by itself, it should give you a pretty good indication of the direction of body fat % going up or down
